Dr Chris Inman
Chris is a registered nurse with about 15 years' post-qualifying experience prior to employment in education at the University of Hull and then as Head of Nursing Development at the Open University in Milton Keynes. At 91ÁÔÆæ she has many years of experience directing the MSc Advanced Practice/MSc Health Care programmes and supervise student research at Master’s and PhD level.
Current Activity
Chris is Programme Director for, and teaches on, the MSc Advanced Practice.
External activities: Committee member of the Association of Advanced Nursing Practice Educator’s UK committee

Research
Chris' own research at Master’s and Doctoral level involved qualitative designs and she has contributed to research in the Faculty of Health relating to evaluation of the MSc Advanced Practice programmes and publications relating to Advanced Practice. Her interests are in health and educational issues and she is an enthusiastic committee member of the Association of Advanced Nursing Practice Educator’s UK committee.
 In August 2012 she will be delivering several conference presentations/workshop at the International Council of Nurses Conference in London. Â

Previous research experience
Chris has previously researched educators' and practitioners' experiences of PhD study. her Doctorate in Education thesis was 'Consultant Practitioners' Experience of PhD Study. A qualitative research design involving individual and focus group interviews 2005-2009'.
